  General 30th Anniversary celebrations

The Llewellyn Choir turns 30!

Dear ex-members of The Llewellyn Choir and Friends of The Llewellyn Choir, and others,

You are warmly invited to be part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations of The Llewellyn Choir (originally known as the Canberra School of Music Choir, and then the Canberra School of Music Community Choir). We gratefully acknowledge that the Choir has only achieved its current success because of the wonderful contributions of many members, and we would be delighted if you would join us as we celebrate 30 years of music-making.

Our celebrations will consist of two events:
* A concert on Saturday 18 September 2010 where we will be performing Johannes Brahms’s ‘German Requiem’, conducted by Rowan Harvey-Martin. Our two previous Directors, Bill Hawkey and Rick McIntyre, will conduct the choir in a couple of other pieces. It will be held at the Llewellyn Hall, Canberra School of Music, at 7.30pm. Tickets can be ordered below. (As usual, they can be purchased at a discount rate from current choir members.)
* A Llewellyn Long Light Lunch on Sunday 19 September 2010, 10.00am–1.00pm at the Jamison Southern Cross Club, Catchpole Street, Macquarie. Formalities will be at 12noon. Prepayment for this event, using the form below, is essential. Please return the tear-off slip by Wednesday 1 September.

Payment options are either by cheque made payable to The Llewellyn Choir, or by EFTPOS to The Llewellyn Choir’s bank account, BSB 062900 and Account Number 0080 3393. Please ensure when paying by electronic funds transfer that you include the word ‘30th’ and your name. If you choose to pay by electronic funds transfer, it is still necessary to complete the tear-off slip and return it to the address below. Current choir members may pay by cash at rehearsals.

Please send cheques, together with the tear-off slip, by 1 September 2010 to
The Llewellyn Choir, c/- 22 Belconnen Way, Page ACT 2614.

You are welcome to pass on this invitation to anyone else with a connection to the choir.
